REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all services provided by Yeshua Catering Ministry, including event catering, private chef services, and meal prep services.
1. GENERAL POLICY
1.1 Deposit
All deposits are non-refundable once paid. The deposit secures your date/service and compensates us for turning away other potential bookings.
1.2 Cancellation Requirements
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to

1.3 Cancellation Confirmation
Cancellations are effective on the date we receive and confirm your written notice.
2. CATERING EVENTS
(Weddings, Corporate Events, Parties, Small Groups)
2.1 Cancellation Timeline and Refunds
More than 30 days before event:
- 50% of deposit refunded
- 50% of deposit retained to cover administrative costs and lost booking opportunity
15-30 days before event:
- 25% of deposit refunded
- 75% of deposit retained
- You may owe additional payment if ingredients have been purchased
8-14 days before event:
- No refund
- Deposit forfeited
- Remaining balance is due in full
Less than 7 days before event:
- No refund
- Full payment is due (100% of contracted amount)
- Cancellation fee of 25% of total contract may apply
Less than 72 hours (3 days) before event:
- No refund
- Full payment is due (100% of contracted amount)
- Cancellation fee of 25% of total contract applies
- Ingredients have been purchased and staff has been scheduled
2.2 Why These Fees?
Cancellation fees cover:
- Lost opportunity (we turned away other bookings for your date)
- Purchased ingredients and supplies
- Staff scheduled and unable to be reassigned
- Administrative time and planning
- Vendor deposits made on your behalf
3. PRIVATE CHEF SERVICES (In-Home Cooking)
3.1 Cancellation Timeline and Refunds
More than 14 days before service:
- Full refund of deposit
- No penalty
7-14 days before service:
- 50% of deposit refunded
- 50% retained
3-6 days before service:
- No refund of deposit
- Remaining balance may be due
Less than 72 hours (3 days) before service:
- No refund
- Full payment is due
- Groceries have been purchased
Day-of cancellation:
- No refund
- Full payment is due
- Additional 25% cancellation fee applies
3.2 Same-Day Cancellation
If you cancel on the day of service after we have already arrived at your home or are en route, full payment plus a 50% cancellation fee is due.
4. MEAL PREP SERVICES
4.1 Weekly Meal Prep Orders
Before order cutoff (Friday 12:00pm noon for following week):
- Full refund or credit toward future order
- No penalty
After order cutoff but before prep begins:
- 50% refund
- Meal planning has begun
After prep has begun (Monday morning):
- No refund
- Ingredients have been purchased and prepared
After pickup/delivery:
- No refunds
- See quality guarantee policy below
4.2 Subscription / Recurring Meal Prep
Canceling subscription:
- Must provide 7 days notice before next scheduled order
- No penalty if proper notice given
- Without proper notice, you are responsible for that week's payment
Pausing subscription:
- Notify us at least 5 days before your next scheduled order
- No penalty
- Can resume anytime
4.3 No-Show for Pickup
If you do not pick up your meal prep order at the scheduled time:
- Order will be held for 24 hours
- After 24 hours, order is forfeited
- No refund
- Storage fees may apply
5. RESCHEDULING
5.1 Catering Events
- Notify us as soon as possible
- Deposit transfers to new date
- Must reschedule within 12 months
- If no agreeable date is found, standard cancellation fees apply
5.2 Private Chef Services
Rescheduling allowed with at least 72 hours notice (subject to availability). Within 72 hours may incur cancellation fees unless emergency.
5.3 Meal Prep
Rescheduling pickup/delivery allowed with 24 hours notice. Same-day changes may incur a $15 fee.
6. BUSINESS-INITIATED CANCELLATION
6.1 Our Cancellation
If we must cancel due to circumstances beyond our control:
- Full refund OR
- Reschedule with no penalty
6.2 Force Majeure
Includes natural disasters, pandemics, government mandates, or other unforeseeable circumstances:
- Rescheduling preferred OR
- Refund minus non-recoverable costs
7. WEATHER-RELATED CANCELLATIONS
7.1 Severe Weather
- We will contact you
- Rescheduling preferred with no penalty
- Refunds minus non-recoverable costs if rescheduling not possible
7.2 Client Decision
- Standard cancellation policy applies
- Event insurance is recommended
8. EMERGENCY OR ILLNESS
8.1 Client Emergency
- Contact us immediately
- Rescheduling strongly preferred
- Refund minus non-recoverable costs if rescheduling not possible
8.2 Documentation
Documentation may be required.
9. CHANGES TO SERVICE (Not Cancellation)
9.1 Reducing Guest Count
More than 7 days: Payment adjusted
Within 7 days: Charged for confirmed count
9.2 Service Modifications
- 14+ days: Usually no charge
- 7-14 days: Possible modification fees
- Less than 7 days: Subject to availability and fees
10. NO-SHOW POLICY
10.1 Catering & Private Chef
- 30 minute wait period
- After 30 minutes service is canceled
- Full payment due
- $100 rescheduling fee
10.2 Meal Prep Pickup
See Section 4.3.
11. QUALITY GUARANTEE
11.1 Food Quality Issues
You must:
- Contact within 2 hours
- Provide details and photos if possible
11.2 Resolution Options
- Remake or replace items
- Partial refund
- Credit toward future service
11.3 Not Covered
- Personal taste preferences
- Improper storage or reheating
- Complaints after 2 hours
- Venue/equipment issues
12. PAYMENT DISPUTES
12.1 Chargebacks
You must contact us first. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in:
- Refusal of future services
- Legal action
- Additional fees
12.2 Resolution Process

- Resolution attempt within 5 business days
- Mediation if necessary
13. REFUND PROCESSING
13.1 Timing
- 7-10 business days (credit card)
- 14 business days (checks)
13.2 Method
Refunds issued via original payment method when possible.
14. EXCEPTIONS
14.1 Case-by-Case Basis
Exceptions may be granted for extraordinary circumstances.
14.2 Not a Guarantee
Past exceptions do not guarantee future exceptions.
15. MODIFICATIONS TO POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes apply to bookings made after the modification date.
